GDPR – General Data Protection Regulation
In light of recent formulation of the new GDPR rules, it is required by law for any company which harvests and retains personal data, to publicly acknowledge their reasons for the handling of such data so that the owners of the data are satisfied that it is being used correctly and responsibly.
Here at The Running Coaches, we obtain the personal details of our clients in line with legal requirements if the client uses our medical professional services. We ask for contact details, medical history and any medications currently prescribed. This is necessary in order to thoroughly assess your health needs, for consultation purposes only, and to communicate with you over such matters.
Paper copies of treatment notes or medical test results and any correspondence with other medical professionals are kept securely in locked cabinets in locked rooms and your computer records are password protected. All medical records are kept for 7 years as required by UK law.
It is your right as a client of The Running Coaches to view or ask about which data we hold about you and we will be as transparent as possible.
We retain your email address and ask permission, when taking it, to send you occasional newsletters regarding our business activities and how they may be of benefit to you as a patient. These emails may contain offers or health tips. We use MailChimp, whom provide mass mailing services and who fully comply with the new regulations.
We have never and do not pass your data on to any third parties for marketing purposes or otherwise.
If you have any questions regarding the above matters please contact us
